Skid Mounted Evaporators
KWS Skid Mounted Evaporators are pre-fabricated, factory-assembled evaporation units delivered ready for installation at site. Because the entire evaporator — heat exchanger, vapor separator, pumps and instrumentation — is mounted on a structural steel skid, only the input feed and output concentrate/condensate connections are needed to commission the plant. This dramatically reduces civil and mechanical work at site, shortens installation time, and allows the unit to be relocated if required. Skid units are available in capacities of 15 KLD and 20 KLD and are ideal for small industries, pilot plants, or locations where a full civil structure is not practical.
Key Advantages
Factory-assembled, site-ready
Complete unit — evaporator, pumps, controls and piping — pre-assembled and tested at KWS works before dispatch.
Minimal civil work
Only input and output piping connections required at site; no extensive foundation or structural work needed.
Easy transportation
Compact skid structure is truck-transportable, enabling relocation as production needs change.
Low maintenance cost
Simplified layout and reduced site connections mean fewer potential failure points and lower ongoing maintenance costs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the advantage of a skid-mounted evaporator over a conventional plant?
Speed and simplicity — a skid unit is factory-tested before dispatch, requires only utility connections at site, and can be commissioned in days rather than weeks. Civil and erection costs are substantially lower.
Can a skid evaporator be moved after installation?
Yes. The skid structure is designed for transportation; provided utility connections are disconnected properly, the unit can be relocated.
